Meet Jessica Smith
How long have you been in the business?
I started with Development in 2015 after retiring from the military.
What is/are your specialty/specialties?
Most of my work revolves around industrial properties, land sales, and office space, representing Sellers, Buyers, Landlords and Tenants.
What do you think sets you apart from other agents here in the Denver Metro?
Customer Service – Clients receive my full-focus. Many of my new clients are also new to Commercial Real Estate and have a high desire to learn and understand the process, so with that, we spend a great deal of time together going over every piece of their process. I also have several returning clients for various other real estate ventures who are working toward building out their investment portfolios.
What’s the biggest challenge your clients face in this current market?
Industrial has stayed strong on all levels, especially light industrial and land development. But my clients with the biggest challenges have come from the office sector, especially with those with larger footprints. It’s hard to predict office outcomes at this point, but we are starting to see a rise in office needs, whether that’s moving to a larger or smaller space, and with that, brings more positivity to the office sector.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
As a retired veteran, my heart is still with the military and I work hard on a variety of projects supporting our troops. My son is currently deployed and our office has sent over 100 care packages to his unit to make their time in Iraq the best it can be. Learning to play golf is keeping me pretty entertained. I’m an avid scuba diver along with my husband. We also have a couple of Polaris RZRs and hit the trails in Colorado and Utah throughout the year, with my favorite areas being Taylor Reservoir and Moab.
