After six years of the hustle and bustle of New York City working as a designer and artist in the music industry, she decided a westward move was necessary to her being, so she could dig into her lifelong passions for camping, rock climbing, and skiing. Following an invigorating stint in the mountains, she found herself in the more familiar urban Denver, where she feels truly at home.
Once settled in Denver, Kayla is enrolled in CCIM courses, where she has learned the process of making informed investment decisions using the various Cash Flow Models, how to measure the impact of federal taxation and financial leverage on the cash flow from the acquisition, ownership, and disposition phases of real estate investment; and use real estate analysis tools to quantify investment return and on track to graduate by the end of 2021. Kayla currently works with buyers and sellers under Madison Commercial Properties.
In her spare time, she indulges in active pursuits, including skiing, hiking, and e-biking around town, as well as more leisurely pursuits, including making pottery in her home studio, working part-time at a boutique wine and spirits shop in Wash Park, and spending time with her short-haired tortoiseshell cat, Kitty.
